The James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) or “Webb”, as we like to call it, will change our perspective of many things in astrophysics. I have the privilege to work in preparing one of its instruments, the Near Infrared Spectrograph (NIRSpec), for science readiness.
The pic was taken at the Johnson Space Flight Center during the testing campaign of 2017. I was there testing NIRSpec.
These are very exciting times for all! Stay tuned… in the mean time you can check out the JWST official site at jwst.nasa.gov, and/or visit jwst.stsci.edu for information for scientists.
